I've seen Christians here try to say that their faith comes BEFORE truth.

Don't they read scripture? Paul wrote that if Christ (in truth) is not risen, let us eat drink and be merry! What's the difference? Tomorrow we die, and that ends everything!

Didn't the Bereans research the truth of Paul's claims before believing?

Do you think this is why so many atheists ridicule us?

If our faith is not rooted in the truth, aren't we sitting ducks for whatever Jim Jones comes along and makes us feel good?

You are correct. Also, if what is said about Christ was not the truth, don't you think it would be likely that there would be some documentation from those early days that would give a conflicting account of what happened? There is none. Even the Jewish nation believe that he existed. They simply say that he was not the "king" they were awaiting.

If you believe in and follow God, you will never be misled. God is the only truth, and you do not need to prove Him, nor could you if you wanted to. He is beyond you, and quite obviously completely beyond atheists.

You know - if someone ridicules you for something you believe in why would you take that serious? my believes are firm what ever they may be and that is that! every one of us has an individual thought process , rather it agrees with mine is another question.
