What people call Faith is actually nothing but conditioning, programing, brain washing. This so called faith doesn't come from any facts but only by what the person was told to believe or read in some book.
Truth on the other hand is based not on hersay but on the evidance. What does the imperical data show. Data can not lie. It can not have an agenda it only is what it is.
We must follow the evidance not man made garbage that is based on control through fear!

Well, lie is putting it a bit too strongly. Lies are untruths foisted upon someone else to their detriment. If faith gives comfort to some, who am I to begrudge that comfort. But in essence, the quest for truth may be a never ending journey. One could be Bhodi Sattva, a seeker, and forever seek the truth. Once your mind is made up that one thing or another is truth, then it truly is a lie, you are correct in that assumption, in my opinion.

I've personally researched everything I believe.
I'm prepared to offer factual support for almost every passage in the Bible from non-religious (and some anti-religious) sources.
That's how I know about faith strengthened by the truth.
(And that's how I know how silly you look trying to define something you've not yet experienced.)

It's great that people have faith.....but the truth will never be figured out until you die. The "truth" isn't necessarily a lie, but it doesn't mean it's true.
