ok i will try and explain this the best i can. i have been talking to this guy for a year. we both really like each other but we have so much going on that we arent actually in a relationship. we have gone out to dinner acouple times though when hes off of work. he has three jobs. but i feel like ive been waiting a year and nothing has really changed. we talk to each other and he keeps telling me hang in there. we can go out ot dinner when i have a day off. well things were going great but i got ahold of him today and told him i couldnt wait forever. and only he has the answers on how long it will be. the next hting i know is that hes telling me he just wants me to be happy but it cant be with him. i could tell in his voice that he was a little bothered by saying it. do you think that he may have said it because he feels bad for me waiting? do you think that he still might want something with me?

Forget about him, there are a lot of options out there. Somebody that won't make you wait forever and will give you the time and attention you need. Just don't close yourself to new options and remember, the one will come when you less expect him. Good luck!

A whole year has gone by an nothing serious has happened??? Each one of you by know should know what you want long term with each other if he said what that then he does not want to be with you in a relationship. What he means though is he really values your friendship and what time you guys do spend together, but your are not the one. If you are sleeping with him stop that is all he wants and if you aren't don't just to see if that will make him have feelings it doesn't just adds to feelings already there. But the final test will come when you remain friends with him and start to see other people dates etc. and you do need to start doing that quit wasting your time on someone who said that to you there are 10 more out there just like him but 20 more that are better then him and can give you what your looking for busy lives or not.
