"S" paper stands for Special paper. In Singapore, this is typically taken by students who are in Junior College. For every A level subject, there's usually an S paper equivalent. S paper is a whole lot more difficult compared to the A level equivalent. Not something for the faint hearted. You have to be scoring consistent As in that subject on A level before you should contemplate doing the S paper.

If i am not wrong, this has or is going to be phased out in the Junior College education. It is replaced by another name/standard altogether. But it essentially still reflects the AO, A and "Super" levels.

To find out more abour S paper, try doing a search under Singapore for keywords "Junior College Special Paper".
