Which is correct - yesterday evening or last evening?
Last night, this morning, this afternoon, this evening, tonight. But what about the evening of yesterday - is it last evening or yesterday evening?

They both sound stupid, just say "last night."

But, if I were forced to choose, I would say, "yesterday evening"

To me "last night" sounds more natural, but "yesterday evening" is just about acceptable. "Last evening" sounds very affected to me.

usually used "Last night" or may be "yesterday evening"is acceptable
