... i'd like to ask him out cuz for once in my life, i actually think i have a chance with him! the problem is, we've only talked like 3 times and he's not in one of my classes. i know him from rock climbing classes i took last year, that's it. but i can't just go up to him and ask 'so do you wanna go out sometime?' cuz he barely knows me! i'm not even sure he knows my name! so what should i do to know him a bit better? i'm really shy so nothing too outgoing please! ^.^ thanks! ;]

just go for it ask him out, i was shy at your age to but i went for it and now 4yrs later we're still together and very much in love. you cant live life in the shadows you never have any fun you have to get out and take chances. and if he says no its not the end of the world believe me. theres more guys out there but its whatever you want to do hope it helps bye

Some people just assume that 14 is a young age but its not! You should get to know him more first. Talk to him during your rock climbing lessons. Say hi whenever you see him and keep eye contact. Once he notices you when you start talking then things will go on easier. This way, you can see whether his personality suites you and that he's not a jerk and he can get to know you too. When the time is right then you can ask him for his email add. Take things slowly. Or maybe after the rock climbing lessons you could ask him to go out and get a drink together. So its not a date, and it won't feel scary to ask. =) Or if you're shy to go alone then call along your other rock climbing friends. Its good to be friends before pursuing a relationship. They tend to last longer too.

If you're not even sure he knows your name, you should probably start out with something like "hi, I'm the Lizard~Queen" and go from there. Not to put a damper on your crush, hon, but it's a little early to be assessing whether you have a chance with him before the two of you have even spoken. Why not just get to know each other a little first? If you want to ask him out, just think of something that you have fun doing, and when you see him (after the "Hi I’m so-and-so" bit of course,) just say something like "hey, would you like to go do [whatever] with me on Friday?" That's what asking someone out is.

Ask him if he wants you to be his friend.. There are many ways... Why dont you try to ask his close friends but thats really obvious that you have a huge crush to him..Try to be his friends.. Try to be with him for sometime.. Tell him about your feelings when time comes but wait for the right time..
