No biggie. I do that all the time. The vast majority of people I know and work with are of a different faith than I am.

The social aspect of going and meeting was popular 50 yrs. ago. We have the ability to converse through other means is that less effective? Or is that social evolution? Reality is not based on the remarks made on the computer. When I turn my computer off I face reality. I enjoy hearing other views.

Well said and it should be done more often. BUt for fear of offending people even friends the subjects are often just glanced over. We often group ourselves with people who are a lot like us in beliefs. This is a good way to begin branching out.
Belief (or lack therof) in God is also so dear to the heart that some would not remain civil and it could get ugly. Much easier to ignore an online flamer adn continue the conversation.

The answers which are given here are given with anonymity, and are therefore more likely to be honest. There are some, true, who denounce for the sake of it, using that anonymity as a shield, but by and large, I think that the serious answers are genuinely felt writings, and are valid. But each reader must take responsibility for his/her own actions or reactions, and make up their own minds. If they choose to base their reality on this forum, then that is, as I said, their responsibility. I can think of worse things in this world on which to base a belief.

I pursue higher education during the day, and yes, I interact with a large variety of people who are much more able to debate their views in a respectable manner!
