Everything attained during the time spent together divided down the middle. What each of you had before you met each other you should be allowed to keep. Sometimes you may need a percentage of division depending on who made more of the money used to buy more of the things. Unless of course the woman was a housemaker and took care of the kids which you cant put a price on.

Depending in what state you live in after 7 years it becomes known as common law marriage. Seek the advise of a lawyer. You can also go to court and have the case heard by a judge.

work out how much you put in from your bank statement and work out how much he put in with the facts on his banks statements. Then work out the rest 50 50 thats what i did. Then type up a document together so know one can cheat and with the facts in front of you then bothe sign them and get a witness and give it to your settlement agent.

It sucks emotionally but the quicker the better.
