a couple of years ago, a new law was passed that both parents have to give permission for a passport because of a parent taking off with kids. They are some exceptions but the article did not get in to it. I hope that helped good luck..

Is this a trick question? It seems pretty logical that if your the MOTHER! there should be no problem...who else would be able to apply for your baby the nanny?

You should check with the immigration dept. they will tell you all the rules and requirements required to apply and receive.
Most countries now do this on-line.
