How do you ask a guy out? I don't want answers like "ask a friend to ask him" or "go up to him and say do you wanna hang out sometime". I want answers that are different from the norm. And answers that aren't so forward. I'm really not good with these things, and anybody who can have a good think about it for me I would very much appreciate.

Thanks everyone who answers.

I'm a guy, and have had plenty of experience asking girls out. This seems to be the most successful method so far.
"You must be a girl."
"Um, yeah."
"Do you want to watch me not ask you out?"
"No."
"HA! I tricked you! Now you have to go out with me."
"Get lost loser."
"Well, at least I still have my empty peanut butter jar. We'll always be friends. What's that Mr. Peanuts? You don't want to be friends anymore? NOOOOOOOOOO!"

Remember, I said this is the most successful method SO FAR. I'm still working on it. GO COUGARS!

Thats easy.

I do not know the circumstances around the two of you. But generally, you go in "small steps" if you want something to grow between the two of you:

1) Ask him for help. On what? On just about anything you can think of. Like ask for help on a letter or poem you are composing, or ask him to help you carry things to your car, etc. People are generally receptive to those asking for help. And most people really like to help, especially males. Its a good way to start a conversation if both of you are still not acquainted.

2) From there, ask him out for a "short date" or quick date. Like ask him to join you and your friends for a cup of coffee. And when you do ask him, make sure it is something that both of you can do immediately, within the hour. Not something that you will have to plan on and do over the "comming weekend" or a lunch that is several days ahead - this will make both of you feel apprehensive while waiting. It should be so easy to do that he won't feel his time will be wasted. Maybe 30 mins is long enough. Do this several times for about a few weeks.

3) From here it will be easier to ask him out on longer dates. Any activity will do. Then if things go fine, you can go on to the more "serious dates".

By going in small steps, you get to feel first if there is that "something" between the two of you. He also won't feel any need to be wary of you. Also, it gives time for that "special something" between the two of you to grow. From here, it will be very difficult for him to resist.

I have no idea of your intentions, but if you just need a partner for tonight, subtle flirting is fun and effective...

If you're not so sure as what to do, then i think that you should write him a long/short letter (your choice) about your feelings for him and say in the letter that if you feels that same way about you, then he must meet you somewhere at a certain time and then ask him out...because you know that he likes you as well because he just came didn't he?????
just an idea.....and good luck!!
