If you were my close friend I would give a gift, such as a nice plant or bath set and bring salad or a dessert too.
You should also keep in mind if your friends have even ever been to a house warming party before. They may not know what is customary or if a person should even bring anything. Go easy on them, they did attend and that counts for something.
I know I was unsure the first time I attended a house warming party.
Congrats on your new home!

We should never expect gifts. The choice is always left to the guest whether they wish to bring a gift. If you were a close friend, I would have brought a gift card to a home store and a side dish.

im from south louisiana and it goes either way, or you could just bring both. for those who couldnt really bring a gift they bring a dish, for those that could get a gift they do .. they always ask what you need --so no reason for gift registers

sometimes its easier on the wallet to bring a dish

personally i would be just as fine if there were no gifts..im just glad that they came to my housewarming

Why not both? Just make sure everyone knows its a 'housewarming' and that you'll have the mains. They can bring sides and desserts.

Generally, I've always taken side dishes, salads, crackers with cheese, or a cake for dessert. If the host is a women, then a bunch of flowers never goes wrong.

ok, we already be attentive to you're constrained to a twenty dollar funds. next element to think of roughly are something that could be divided to sufficiently small parts to share. can't stand people who carry great products not decrease up it extremely is complicated to share. frequently people do issues like a salad or dessert that are hassle-free to divide as nicely as affordable on the funds. For important dishes, casseroles are frequently a great hit. i'm going to depart it ordinary as i don't be attentive to that are your specialties or if there's a topic jointly with Halloween. don't be a monotonous person who in simple terms brings some 2 liter bottles of soda.
