I disagree. Christians are as, if not more, annoying than non Christians. Then again a small portion of the faith keep to themselves and do not bother other people by incessantly reminding them that they will go to hell if they do not read the bible. ( Source) Personal experience.

Well, I'm a Christian and I will say that Christians are often the object of hateful questions and answers. Still, I have seen mean questions and answers from Christians, as well as others who are not Christians. It's all kind of a personal character sort of thing, more than a religious thing. True, people do seem to enjoy bashing Christians, but overall, in my experience, most people are basically nice and helpful. I posted one question once and got the nicest answer from someone who said they were not a Christian, but that they appreciated my question.

I think the key to finding nice people on these forums is in the way people ask questions, and the characters of those who answer them. Some questions are provoking, even if it isn't the intent of the person asking the question. Some people who answer are just trying to have fun and enjoy doing so at the expense of others. Still others feel very strongly about a question based upon their own personal experiences. I have seen well-meaning Christians ask questions about homosexuals in a very rude and condemning way. Those answering the questions were understandably upset in how they answered. If the person asking the question had asked in a non-threatening, information-seeking way, then the responses they had received would have been a lot different.

I guess I'm saying that there are mean and rude people out there, and these people do include Christians sometimes. Yes, people enjoy bashing Christians, but I have also seen Christians bash others as well. I think if everyone who posts a question and/or an answer put some thought into how they come across, there would be a lot less meanness across the board.

We may be nicer and more decent but there is no difference in them and us.

We know the truth and it has set us free. They who have not are slaves to the world and the world has its way with them.

A Christian does not do that which goes against the Word of God for they realize that the separation hurts them more than what the world can do to them.

There is only two kinds of people on the Earth right now. Those that have accepted Jesus Christ and been recreated and those that are given over to Satan by God for further testing.><>

You can't really judge the entirety of non believers based on 20 minutes of looking at the postings of a select few people. The majority of Christians I've met were no nicer or more decent than the rest of the population.

I have met some nice and even respectful atheists. I actually at times have meaningful exchanges with them. I don't really see what people hope to acomplish by disrespecting each other however I do admit it's sometimes alot easier to anser a silly question with an equal dose of insincerity.

Christians are supposed to be like Christ, which would be reflected in being nice to people. I am very glad that what you have seen makes Christians out as being nice, that must mean that some of us are doing our jobs well..

Unfortunately however, there are many Christians who choose to be mean and ruthless when talking to other people.. This really saddens me, because all the work we do as Christians in trying to show the love of Christ all gets thrown away because a few choice people don't live out their testimony...

When you say people...be more specific! I would like to help, but i am just going to pull verses for the bible that will help you.

Whoever claims he loves God and doesnot love his brother next to him, He is a liar. For how can someone hate his brother that he can see and love God who he cannot see.

Perfect love is not made in fear, for perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. the on who fears is not made perfect in love.

Love is patient is kind, is not rude, prideful, envious, or boastful, does not keep a record of no wrong. It rejoices in truth, always hope and perservers.

love your enemies. Love the people who persecute you. that way you are made perfect.

Forgive you brother seventy seven times seven. Turn the other cheeck.

Why is the divorce rate among Christians significantly higher than the rate among other faiths in the U.S.?

So much for your "nicer" theory?

Why are you being so condescending and self righteous? Is that the christian way? Is that how you define being nice and decent? To treat others with contempt and loathing.
To answer your question, christian double standards, like the ones you are displaying, often frustrate and anger people, which gives rise to the bad reactions you have been seeing.

They aren't. I find Christians to be largely arrogant, rude, and extremely hateful towards people of other faiths.

I have never seen any other group of people behave so consistently nasty, it's too much just to be a few bad apples in the bunch; I think it's the other way around, a few good apples in a barrel full of rotten worm infested ones.
