My dog didn't use to have this problem, he always goes to the yard and does his business. But we had a couple of big snow storms and the yard and deck were covered by snow, so he poops and pee on the deck. I guess he couldn't distinguish between the yard and the deck. But now the snow are melted he still do it on the deck. How can I get him not to? Thanks!

Try putting long pieces of aluminum foil around the deck when you are unable to watch where he goes.

Dogs hate the sound and feel of aluminum foil on their paws, so he'll likely try to get as far away from it as possible.

Otherwise, you may also want to try wetting the deck. Then, if the yard stays dry, he should like it better.

Good luck!

My dog did that cause he was scared to go down the stairs when it snowed, so we had to start letting in out downstairs. In the summer the deck smelled so bad because of him peeing on the deck, he really didn't poop on the deck.
