NO! Toss that sucker away! Why would you keep something ugly in your kitchen? If it is charred, that means it has caught on fire at some point, and will be more likely to catch on fire in the future. It is a fire hazard. Let it go!! I mean, how much does a baking glove cost, anyway? If you don't want to buy a new one, you can make one out of three or four layers of old jeans, and decorate the way you want to decorate it.

Trust me, you will be happier if you get that thing out of your kitchen. Just be sure and get a substitute right away, because there's nothing funny about a burned hand.

I own many ugly oven mitts and hot pads. Many are charred and a few are burned, but they serve a purpose to remove hot dishes from the oven or stove top. I wash my hot pads and oven mitts all the time, only with like items. If you need a reason to throw it away then go ahead and toss it. However make sure there is another one to replace the one you have tossed. Nothing is worse than finding out you don't have a hot pad or an oven mitt when you need to remove something from a hot oven.

a charred look might be a burnt area. wash the glove as often as you wash towels.
