Jesus told people they were to obey the law of the land. Therefore if they are in the military and are required to do such, no they won't go to hell (if they are a Christian that is). If they're not Christian, that's when they need to worry...

NO... Though this was not CHRISTIAN teaching, John gave this instruction to soldiers:
Luke 3:14 Then some soldiers asked him, “And what should we do?” John replied, “Don’t force people to give you money. Don’t bring false charges against people. Be happy with your pay.”
He does not say that anything is wrong with military service. Paul told people to respect ALL those in authority. (Romans 13:1 "All of you must be willing to obey completely those who rule over you. There are no authorities except the ones God has chosen. Those who now rule have been chosen by God. 2 So when you oppose the authorities, you are opposing those whom God has appointed. Those who do that will be judged.")
Neither put qualifiers on their teaching... The ultra-pacifist view which seems very common today has NO BASIS in scripture. Clearly, scripture would have you do what you were ordered to do regarding military service.

According to Christianity all those who do not believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior will not go to heaven period. No other condition should be attached to John 3:16.

Paul said that the police are "sent by God".
By police, he was referring to the Roman occupation forces common at that time.

No. in Ecclesiastes it says there is a time for peace and a time for war a time to heal and a time to kill., I believe that killing in a war is justified in God's eyes, after all the other guy is trying to kill you

Seems unlikely. Have you read the various tales of slaughter in the old testament?
