mid-price cars Honda then Toyota ( Saturn is way way way down on the list - so a bargain if you are buying used - assuming you want to drive one ! )
for the actual resale value and not our opinions go to Consumer Reports they have lots of price and reliability info on all cars new and used - and this is ACTUAL REAL WORLD INFO

well its rare a car has a higher resale value than its purchase price unless its a limited release or a vintage vehicle- most luxury cars or foreign sports cars that require a waitlist have a high resale value based on the year and the condition. The more rare the car the most likely it is the have a high resale value- a 1900s era mercedes benz sold at an auction for millions of dollars and I'm sure it was pruchased for a few thousand dollars in its day. If you're talking about popular cars- any properly maintained reliable vehicle will have a good re-sale value- it wont be higher than what you bought it for, but it will sell better as long as you keep it in good condition.

Toyota, Honda, Lexus are at the top Jaguar, Saab at the bottom. The demand for used Toyotas is pretty high, if you have a well cared for car you will might get almost what you paid for it new.

It way depends on what kind of money your talking about, and what kind of car.Out of the "normal people" brands I'd say toyota . But if your talking rediculously nice cars porsche, BMW, mercedes they will all resale for good amounts of money.

Toyotas usually don't depreciate very much. And they last forever. This customer I have has a Camry with 400k miles, and nothing huge has gone wrong with it. Plus, Toyota's aren't as hard to work on as BMW's, or worked on as much as FoundOnRoadDead's...I mean Fords..
