Plants have been long known to absorb carbon dioxide form the air for photosynthesis and convert it to oxygen as one of the products.
But NASA found out that some plants like the snake plant (Sansevieria trifasciata) and the spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum) can clean air by reducing the amount of pollutants like benzene, folmaldehyde and trichloroethylene. Such plants do reduce the amount of pollutants and clean the air.

But there are problems associated with their introduction into homes.
Careful selection of indoor plants is necessary if anyone suffers from exposure to molds, pollen, odors or dust. (It can worsen allergies often)
Mold can grow in the soil of the plants and release spores into the air.
Houseplants add moisture to the environment that can foster the growth of mold and dust mites.
Also there is currently no evidence that a reasonable number of houseplants remove significant quantities of pollutants in homes and offices.
And the main hazard is that during the night, there is no photosynthesis. Hence lots of carbon dioxide is released at night due to respiration of plants and in high doses may cause poisoning in the long term.
So consult your doctor first and also a good nursery before planning introduction of house plants.

And here is the link for the details about the NASA tests regarding the plants:

Don't rely on just anything you read here with out links. You could bring the wrong plants into your rooms and end up worse off than before. Most plants can trigger allergies that you didn't know you had. Best of luck to you.

Get some standard standard Hydrogen Peroxide from the chemists (pharmacy) the form used to scrub wounds. Open up an complication-free zinc/carbon battery, take out the black stuff and upload it on your peroxide, it is going to react rapidly giving zillions of bubbles, they'll all be organic Oxygen :)
