does anyone know how to get a good result from curling iron for fine long hair? I just bought a 1 1/4in curling iron and the result isn't as good as I thought. Is there any products I can use and techniques? Thx

I think it may be the brand of curling iron you have and you need to use a smaller one. Those bigger sizes rarely work (cannot create a curl). 1/2-1 inch is good and you will get a bigger curl than you think depending on the type of hair you have too. I have had so many different curling irons over the years and they vary so much. I would recommend a smaller barrel.

One good thing to note is that if you try to curl freshly cleaned hair it may not curl as easy. You should wash every other day but you can still condition it. But it's better to style on "dirtier" hair. Like if you have a wedding or dance or prom the salon may tell you not to wash it the day of. It will be easier for them. At first it may bug you and if thats the case then condition it.
