I need help. please. I have fine hairs in my skin, that pull the skin on my face and body tight.?

. At first I thought these open areas on my skin were pimples or infected hairs.I took a closer look and discovered that there are thin white or sometimes clear strands that weave in and out of my skin. I've no idea where they are coming from?! The strands look like nylon thread.Its as if my skin is healing too fast.
Sometimes this happens without any trauma to the skin. The thin hairlike threads that weave in and out, look like I have stitches. They sometimes cause the skin to pucker,. other times the threads pull so tight that they cut the skin. This is when I will cut to release the treads.. I have had this happen under my finger nails and even on my lips.
I don't want to look ugly and be in pain anymore. My immune system has gone on overdrive.Has anyone heard of this? I have had to deal with this for many years now and I am at my end point. My husband has filed for divorce and says I am discusting and I am disfiguring myself on purpose. . Help.

I saw also discoid lupus. Is this a possibility. I am afraid of going to doc, I don't want to be a mental case...the joys of being in the medical field. I am not OCD! God.......I really feel all alone. Please guide me.

It sounds like some type of scleroderma, or similar condition. Its not your fault that you have scars and disfigurement, unfortunately, people often react this way toward people with scleroderma. You might be able to find a proper diagnosis an treatment by visiting a Rheumatologist.
