Because they are only a temporary fix for a symptom.
To remove the problem go on a bowel cleanse, then parasites cleanse, then liver flush, then change your diet to raw vegan.
Info on cleansing here: http://www.curezone.com
Info on raw vegan diet here: http://rawfoodinfo.com/pictures/beforeafters_main.html
Raw vegan diet is simple: No processed/canned/dehydrated/ frozen foods. No sugar, no sugar substitutes, no honey, no flour. Only raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds in their natural, unprocessed forms, and juice (fresh from your own home juicer) from the raw vegetables and fruits. Raw vegan recipes are available for fre here:

If you are not up to the changes, then you could always just cut sugar, sugar substitutes, honey, flour, and starchy foods completely out of your diet, drink plenty of water, and eat more raw fruits and vegetables. Also, don't be afraid to sweat. Sweating is good to clean out the pores and get rid of toxins.
You have used antibiotics, and screwed up the balance of bacteria in your intestine. You really do need to get a good acidophilus supplement (preferrably in liquid form) and go on a good cleanse, at the very least. As much as 80% of the immune systems power comes from your intestines. You need to make them healthy again.

Dry and/or greasy skin due to poor oil composition of the skin. Thick greasy oils clog pores, lack of oil leads to dryness and irritation. You need thin oils to moisturize while dissolving and clearing gunk in your poors. Try fish oil or seafood. 2 tsp fish oil a day or 4 servings of seafood a week. Stick it out for at least 2 months; it will take a long time to replace all your oil. Any effect after 1-2 days is temporary or random; so even if it makes you break out a little at first, you haven't given it a full try yet.
In the short term you can wash and moisturize well, but that will only go so far. Plus excessive washing can be drying and excessive moisturizing can be clogging. Use a small amount of a light moisturizer, made with oil not jelly or grease. Often that means soybean oil or mineral oil. Mineral oil means mined from the ground. So soybean oil is usually better, though mineral oil won't cause too much harm. Clean with soap and water, not a harsh acne cleanser. Even then they only work so well. So you really need the seafood.
Antibiotics aren't really good for bacteria long term, they'll come back in force after. Short term they may help. After you get off them find some kefir with acidophilus listed first or 2nd to replace the friendly bacteria they destroyed. Studies show less illness when you have these bacteria, even outside the stomach in places such as the lungs and elsewhere. You want friendly bacteria to fill the void when the antibiotics stop, not harmful ones.
In the short term you might also try 100,000+ iu retinol vitamin A (a megadose, and too much for normal use) or one of the acne drugs that is similar to retinol vitamin A. It's some minor harm to your organs, but it helps against bacteria on your skin. At least it doesn't have the other long term drawbacks to your skin that antibiotics and many scrubs do.
If you would like to learn how to treat your acne permanently and regain your health and wellbeing, without drugs, without typical acne treatments, and without any side effects, then this will be the most important letter you will ever read.

when your face gets adjusted to a certain medication it tries to go with the flow, so it works. but when your cells get used to the medication, it decides whether or not the med fits the profile of healing. your face is jus being difficult. there are so many products out there that you shouldn't have to worry. keep switching meds. for me, i was jus the same way. i switched every other month. it's kinda fun to see what works and wat doesn't. eventually you'll find what your looking for, jus give it hope. it's part of life.

Your skin builds up a tolerance to them, forcing you to go to something stronger. What has the dermatologist said? Is there anything else he can recommend? You might ask him about UV treatments.

You need to stick with ONE type of acne treatment.
you're freaking out your skin.
it's ok if your skin breaks out every now and then, it doesn't mean your treatment isn't working.
I recommend Proactiv Solution.
at first, you break out. but then it starts working and now my skin looks great.
I do break out every now and then - stress, birth control pill, etc... - but proactiv clears it up quickly.
so basically, stick to one treatment so you don't aggrevate your acne further.
