If the goal of 'some' feminists is to be literally equal to men...what does that say about the value they place on motherhood...

As Timothy Leary is quoted to have said, "Women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition."

(Oh and by the way any normal man, normally marries a woman and is obviously concerned to ensure his wife gets fair and equitable treatment in the workplace. So it is not merely a 'women's issue' as some feminists would suggest.

Equal is the same.
Communists believed that we are all equal, which is a lie.
We are all equal before God, we are all equal before the law; we are not all equal.
We have different charecteristics, different abilities, and different treatments.
This 'we are all equal' appears to a bisexual perspective of people ?

Our Logic has been corrupted.

A woman should not be paid the same as a man, if she does more than a man or another woman. Logic would suggest treating poeple farily, not merely equally !!!

sigh, sigh, sigh. Please quit twisting the truth to suit your own goals. Please quit listening to people who do. There are enough wackos in this world. Most feminists do not strive to be "literally equal to men", (now as far as statements go that can be perverted, that one is a world-beater). What most feminists believe is that women should be treated equally to men. That does not mean we want to pee standing up. It means that the salaries, benefits, life styles, and credibility that were given to men should also be options for women. Do you even know that women were not allowed to vote in this country until fairly recently? So sure, talk about how women want to ejaculate, or grow hair on their chests, and then justify that by saying, "see, feminism is bad". The web site you provided the hyper-link to looks like a cult in itself. Join the world of women and men treating each other with respect. Call it humanism if that makes you feel better.
Do you really believe in your twisted logic that anyone is saying that a woman who performs on the job less well than someone else should be paid the same regardless of gender? What hogwash! For years women who did the same job as a male counterpart were paid less, just because they were women. What feminists have said is that this is unfair. So search your strange mind, do you really believe that a man who performs the same job less well than a woman should be paid more? I shudder at your response.

What about the fatherhood which nobody seems to think about. There are equal responsibilities for the parents. If its the mother who takes care of the baby through natural instincts then its the fathers responsibility to get him through life and show him the right path. So even though a male and a female are doing things differently the goal is the same. In this case to make sure the kid succeeds in life. Hence if we are talking about equality without a common goal we would only end up achieving nothing.

It is annoying that people pretend that we have equality, for instance when getting jobs my husband can have difficulty because of his long hair - it is his choice to have long hair and he keeps it tidy and in good condition. On the other hand no one has ever told me to grow mine and I even got a job when i had a Mohawk!

Also equal pay is about a woman being paid the same for doing the same job as a man - where did you get that it would mean being paid the same as a man doing less of a job? If your work colleague is a man and gets a bigger bonus than you for doing less work in England you can sue for discrimination!

Why are you undermining Fatherhood? Surely this is a very important role, I have 8 nephews who would be lost without the support and presence of either their father or their mother (who are both separated). My father died when I was 3 and I feel I missed out on a great deal, mothers are important but they don't replace fathers! (not that single parents cant do a good job its just better to have both, whether they live together or not)

Now days men have lapsed in their responsibilities as the leader and provider of their home and families. Women are forced to get jobs and come home and cook, clean and raise the kids while the men do what? It takes two incomes to maintain a life above poverty level. I am a working mother and I demand equal pay because I have mouths to feed, rent and utilities, doctor bills and books to buy. I did not choose to be a single mom, and so should I not have equality just because I am a women?

Equality is not sameness. I have no idea what you mean by "the value they place on motherhood", but I assure you that I am a feminist who intends to be a mother someday. You need to clear up what you mean, because I have no idea what you are talking about.

Also--of course, many men are feminists. Feminism is about ensuring equal rights and responsibilities for all people, regardless of sex or gender. All anti-feminist propaganda doesn't understand what the movement is truly all about.

A woman is equal to a man in the eyes of the Law. She will be prosecuted for a crime exactly the same way as a man who committed the same crime.
Women want the same rights as men regarding job oportunities and full participation in civic life.
They never said they are physically equal.
Get your facts right before ranting here in this silly manner.

Im not sure if your asking a question or making a statement but I do beleive that women with ambition dont need any reminders into the subject.

Have a nice day!

Women aren't equal in every aspect. In some things they are better than men, and vice versa. They should be given equal consideration however.

why is this in the religious section? Man and woman are equal, period. For Genesis in the bible tells us...." and the Lord created "them" in his image". Not one better than the other, but them, equal.

But as the book says, when it comes time to lead the family and to make the final choice, that is up to man. As motherhood is left up to the woman.

absolutely right, if a woman wants to be equal 2 men and can manage being a mom at the same time that's fine , i did quit my job for the sake of my children.
