According to your BMI, you're at a healthy weight now. 93 would still be a healthy weight, so that's good. I'd suggest focusing on specific goals rather than just the numbers on a scale. I used to just focus on the numbers, but I've found I've gotten better results when I've focused on certain goals (i.e., right now I'm working on toning my abs). Cardio like running is good; I'd throw in some light weight lifting too--that way you'll be toned, which always helps a person look better. Plus, you can do light weight lifting at home at any time of the day/night safely--just get some light dumbells (like 5 lb ones). Good for you drinking lots of water! One of the biggest things that helped me lose was cutting out soda--even diet soda has a lot of calories/sugar. Just make sure you're eating enough so that you're not hungry, or your body will go into starvation mode and retain every calorie it can get--also, you'll be more likely to binge.

Unfortunately, running alone, especially as a young woman (I'm 20) can be dangerous. I hate it, because I like to jog too. Don't do it while it's dark, and if you can, find a jogging partner. If not, take pepper spray or a taser along, just in case. That way, if you meet a creepy guy or crazy dog, you'll be "armed." :)

Good luck!

93 pounds would put you underweight based on your height (even at 97 pounds you're still in the very low side for what you should be in). If you're running frequently, you really should be eating more. Since muscle weights more than fat, and it seems as if you're trying to work out, it's ok to weigh a little more. The better indicator is body fat percentage and not weight alone. As for what you're eating, it sounds like you're doing ok. Whole grains and tea are very good for you.

About running at night, why don't you try to either go to a gym or get a work out tape that way you don't have to be out at night by yourself. Or find a running partner to go with you. Or even better yet, why don't you join your school's track team.

It's good to get healthy exercise.

I don't think a four-pound difference, though, is really critical. Better to be mentally healthy. A 97 pound 5'0 girl is still quite healthy. I mean, it's not like you're 140 pounds or anything.

Don't obsess - just be as healthy as you can be without killing yourself in the process. Mental health is a big component of staying young too.
