It's ringworm. They look like patches of dry raised skin that forms in kind of a circle shape, usually a semicircle. They itch and are red and scaley too. They may be killed with applying clear nailpolish to smother them or the Dr. will give you something. Look on the web for a homeopathic treatment. I know it is a fungus and it is very contageous and if it is really bad if it's in the scalp, it needs a Dr. to treat it. You can treat small patches with tenactin and tea tree oli and make sure there is no contact with anyone by covering the area with clean gauze. Also, make sure all bedding, clothing and such is cleansd well and treated with very hot water when washing to prevent the spread. Good luck.

Do you mean ring worms? If so, you don't actually see a worm. There will be a reddish area on the skin which enlarges over timeand usually looks sort of like a target. They itch and the skin gets flaky sometimes. They are easily treated with an over the counter antifungal applied twice daily until the area is completely healed.
