Brain fog, chronic headaches, forgetfulness, chest pains, etc. I cant seem to focus at work and I am a paralegal. What should I do? I could lose my job because I cant produce like I used to.

well if you can't focus on your job then that bad and she look like you would like to keep your job and make money but if you can't work like you use to then just don't work at your work any more but if u feel that you can then keep working and fright that disease.

Your doctor should get you on hormone replacement ASAP. I've been on synthroid for 24 years and counting. The worst symptoms I had when I developed Hashimoto's were coarse hair and weight gain. If you're having symptoms like you describe, it may not be the thyroid--it may be the type of medicine he's placed you on. There are several types, so you might want to check with him to see about trying another medicine.

Hashimoto's thyroiditis is actually quite common and there are treatments that can help with the symptoms. You need to see an endocrinologist.

Take a look into disability options if you lose employment due to this. SSDI is potentially out there if you can't work, as well.

looks like there is nothing you can do...if you can't produce then maybe you need to start looking for a new job that doesn't require so much thinking
