I don't understand it either. Jews don't provoke anyone.

The only thing I can figure is that they're easy targets, and the nutjobs who develop the hatred are just cowards.

Thank God Israel has superior weapons.

(Interesting answers, so far. Some don't understand how prevalent anti-Semitism is in Europe and the Middle East. It always astounds me just how superior the US is to the rest of the world. Here, we don't feel the need to hate Jews. And we have a few Muslims disavowing anti-Semitism responding. That's hopeful. Too bad Beautiful Muslimaah is lost in the typical Muslim fog of ignorance. Israel is a ray of light in the Middle East, and only the truly ignorant and hateful can't see it.)

That's a really interesting question.

Hatred for Jews has been going on for many, many centuries. In the church it started because Jews were accused of killing the Messiah. Ironically enough, Jesus had to die in order for their faith to be born, but that point seems to have been missed. Over the centuries this hatred has just been fueled and Jews have been persecuted and discriminated against. This fear and hatred has caused Jews to become the central players in all sorts of weird conspiracy theories and to be blamed for all the pit falls in the world.

I guess they need someone to blame. They can't look in the mirror.

And before someone says hatred for the Jews was started and only in the Catholic church - take a really good look at the writings of Martin Luther. He believed they should all be rounded up and killed. Doesn't matter what your denomination - it still has the taint of hatred in it.

*edit*

For those crying out about Palestine - do you know there were no native inhabitants of Palestine, let alone a Palestine, until at most 50 years ago? They are natives of other arab countries, which could easily allow them back into their borders. Instead these people are left there to make a political statement and fuel the fire. There is no loss land, no long time bond with this land. Palestine has only existed as a political tool in order to kill innocent people on both sides.

Feel free to give me a thumbs down for speaking the truth.

I, myself, not Jewish, have been wondering this for YEARS. It completely baffles me. I have heard one answer that I can't really verify but it's something that EVERYONE DOES NOW. Apparently many many many many many years ago it was a taboo somewhere for a lot of people, I'm guessing Christians, to charge interest on a loan. But Jewish people did charge interest for money lending... Why this would ever increase to the bizarre lengths that it has in directions that has nothing to do with money lending is beyond me. But that was something I heard a long time ago. Beyond that is the whole Judas Escariot story that seems pointless since that whole crucifixion of Jesus scenario was supposed to be foreordained/ to happen regardless. Circumcision (sp) seems to happen to most male babies now so that doesn't seem to be it. Maybe it's *because* they're less likely to cheat and make all the other infidels look even worse? Your guess is as good as mine. Easy targets is all I can figure. People who tend to keep to themselves and not cause trouble (I mean suburban sets here) make people suspicious. If the neighbours don't see a single mistake they imagine six dozen skeletons in one closet that should burst at any moment.

Acts 10:34-35
Then Peter opened his mouth and said: "In truth i perceive that God shows no partiality. But in every nation whoever fears Him and works righteousness is accepted by Him.

In the first century, no respectable Jew would go into the house of a Gentile or eat their food. Gentiles, and their homes and food, were regarded as "impure/unclean". By avoiding contact with Gentiles the Jews protected their identity as God's chosen people. Acts 10 describes that this changed within the context of the Christian community. God showed Peter in a vision that a Jew can go into a Gentile's home, eat his food, and have social interaction with him.God has made the Gentiles"clean" and "shows no partiality", and so Gentiles believers may be included within the Christian fellowship.

I dont have any reason for hating Jews.
I dont see why others do.

Everybody does not hate Jews, or anyone else. I am a middle aged black person from the East Coast. In a world where people were often kept out of neighborhoods, during my youth, many middle class neighborhoods were first integrated by Jews, and blacks followed. My experience growing up with Jewish neighbors was one I'd re-live any time.

I don't hate Jews. I do seem to have offended at least a few of them, when I did my book about Barabbas...but that was never my intention. I was simply telling a story...the business about the Jew's involvement in the crucifixion of Jesus, including their cry "His blood be on us and on our children" is a matter of Biblcial history, I didn't make it up. Whether these things have anything to do with what the Jews have suffered since, I cannot say...only that the things Jesus prophecied for Jerusalem do seem to have come to pass just as He warned them. I guess it just depends on Who you believe...
All I ever intended to do was to write a book. I apologize to any Jews I may have offended, however, The Book of Barabbas attempts to explore the life and times of Barabbas...and the Jews idea of the messiah vs. Jesus as God's Messiah. I guess I should have realized it would be impossible to tell that sort of story withoug treading on a few sensitive Jewish toes.
Sorry.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. addressed this question. He stated:

". . . You declare, my friend, that you do not hate the Jews, you are merely 'anti-Zionist.' And I say, let the truth ring forth from the high mountain tops, let it echo through the valleys of God's green earth: When people criticize Zionism, they mean Jews--this is God's own truth.

"Antisemitism, the hatred of the Jewish people, has been and remains a blot on the soul of mankind. In this we are in full agreement. So know also this: anti-Zionist is inherently anti-Semitism, and ever will be so.

"Why is this? You know that Zionism is nothing less than the dream and ideal of the Jewish people returning to live in their own land. The Jewish people, the Scriptures tell us, once enjoyed a flourishing Commonwealth in the Holy Land. From this they were expelled by the Roman tyrant, the same Romans who cruelly murdered Our Lord. Driven from their homeland, their nation in ashes, forced to wander the globe, the Jewish people time and again suffered the lash of whichever tyrant happened to rule over them.

"The Negro people, my friend, know what it is to suffer the torment of tyranny under rulers not of our choosing. Our brothers in Africa have begged, pleaded, requested--DEMANDED the recognition and realization of our inborn right to live in peace under our own sovereignty in our own country.

"How easy it should be, for anyone who holds dear this inalienable right of all mankind, to understand and support the right of the Jewish People to live in their ancient Land of Israel. All men of good will exult in the fulfillment of God's promise, that his People should return in joy to rebuild their plundered land.

"This is Zionism, nothing more, nothing less.

"And what is anti-Zionist? It is the denial to the Jewish people of a fundamental right that we justly claim for the people of Africa and freely accord all other nations of the Globe. It is discrimination against Jews, my friend, because they are Jews. In short, it is antisemitism."

I do not hate anyone but I hate the sin of hatred of human beings-every one is loved by God precious Messiah Jesus, and people get many issues to hate from -when they do not have salvation in Jesus-some are taught hatred toward the Jewish people, some are jealous, some have been hurt by a Jewish person and steriotype all Jewish people.

truth being told there is good and bad in every person and group of persons, yet be carefull if we hang out arround biggots who hate we will learn to hate too--and hate breeds hate from both sides.

take down the walls and we see their children and grandparents all just seeking happiness in life-hate doesnt help that at all.

Most all people in White founded ZOG nations do not Hate Jews. In fact they have been under the Jewish yoke since christ insanity was forced on them. Christ insanity was created by Jews and promoted to their enemies in order to destroy the Roman Empire and eventually the entire Caucasoid race. Think of all of the wars the Jewnited States has fought that were against our interests. All of them exept the war with Mexico. Often they get us into wars and lead the opposition to them. The Iraq war is for Israel and not intended to go well on the ground.

All species (plant or animals) are divided into competing sub-species. We call ours races. No - despite the mindless slogans that the stupid masses parrot about the "human race" there is no such thing. There is a human species that is divided into sub-species. The same for the mindless slogans about racial equality. Equality does not exist anywhere - even among twins. It is a myth. Each sub-species has it's general strengths and weaknesses and the same for individual creatures since they may have the traits of there sub-species to varying degrees. It is natural, healthy and required for survival that all creatures practice sub-species ism. For dogs and horses we call the sub-species breeds and they have been bred by man in ways that naturally never would occur in order to achieve results we wanted.

Hate is a natural healthy protective emotion that springs from and only exists in connection to love. In order to eliminate hate as the mindless slogans say we must eliminate love. If your love is strong your hate will be equally strong. Those that do not give much of a hoot about anything or anyone (even themselves) will have a hard time mustering much hate. We naturally hate those and that which is a threat to whom and or what we love. Those sub-species that are closely related are usually great enemies since they compete for the same resources and territory and thus are a threat to each other. The history of racial intercourse shows that to be true. the stronger, superior normally dominate the weaker inferior. Today the Caucasoid race is commiting racial suicide and that is not natural but a great perversion of natural law.

However according to the equality myth all dogs are equal in strength size and temperament as is the same for all animals. Go tell breeders to mix breeds willy-nilly.

I don't hate Jews. I think that the Orthodox Jews are kind of creepy, but I don't hate them. Jesus was a Jew, you know.
