I've known this girl for a while, and recently I was telling her about another girl I thougth was attractive and liked, and now I've realized that it's her I like, not the one I told her about. It might sound flaky, but I've realized the reality now.
The girl laughs at all of my jokes and we were talking about prom dates and she was saying how she would feel really bad saying no to someone even if seh didn't really like them. Do I still have a chance asking her out if I made the big mistake of talking about another girl?

you need to talk to this girl alone and see how she acts around you. Make jokes with her and if she touches your arm while she is talking with you she likes you. Also, try hinting that you want to ask her to prom and if she says that you like the other girl tell her that you did it meaning her and you were to scared to say anything. I would ask her and at the very least you could go as friends and might have a blast...just remember to sweep her off her feet if she says yes.

hahaha i know this might sound a little bad but if u didnt say the other girls name u could say u were talking about her, or u could say u wanted to see how she would react, because u truly had feelings for her.
and if thats what that girl said about prom, u shouldnt ask her yet but instead talk to her going out cuz maybe she will say yes to u cuz she likes u and not out of pity

I don't think so. People change. I think its perfectly normal to realize something that you haven't before. If she asks that you liked a another girl, tell her the straight up truth. She'll appreciate you for it. I'd ask her out. Go for it.

You will only know if you ask her. The worst that can happen is she says she don't feel the same way. She won't care about the other girl if she feels the same way you do.

Ask her!!!! if she says Yes and wants to know who the other girl was just say that it was her and if you already told her the other girl's name then just say that you were afraid to tell her how you felt.

btw just so u no off the bat, lol, i am a grl, so this is from my perspective, but i would just start hinting that u dont like that other grl anymore, like if that grl (that u like now) asks about her, just change the subject, and tell her, b like, idk anymore, i think i moved on.... i like someone esle now, and lead her on like that for a while, but dont tell her who it is, until the two of u r alone and then b like, do u still wanna no who i like? and if she says yea, tell her, lol, it mite take time, but, thats wut i would do. good luck!
