for xp but it wont boot all it said was malfunture with shut down do you wish to start in safe more , safe more when network or last know goot configuration and no matter what you press it loads for a bout half a sec then a plue screen saying unbootable valume but it said that even before i put the disk in is there a buttin i press or what can i do ? il be online at jbpalacios@sbcglobal.net so if you have any questins to help you better understand il be on there

When you first start the computer, press the button it say to enter BIOS, usually it the Delete Key or F1. In BIOS find your BOOT setting and be sure your CD Drive is set as your First boot drive. Then put the Boot Disk in the Drive, shut down and Re-Boot. This all I know.

to boot from the disc you must set the boot sequence in the bios to boot from cd rom first, then put the disc into the drive and turn your pc off, then reboot and it will say to boot from disc press any key, just press any key and it will boot from the disc
