This is the first meet in my entire high school career. I'm running the 800 and the mile runs I think there's an hour and a half in between (maybe two). I'm running th mile first thing at 2:45 (maybe 2:50 or 3:00) . Any ideas on what to eat before and during the meet?

The night before you want to load up on carbs. Pasta is good. The day of the race, eat something very light- have some energy bars on hand for the meet and drink LOTS of water!

Most of the runners I know are marathon runners. They all eat pasta the might before.

Keep your meal low in fat and protein, but higher in carbs.
