How do i become an amateur boxer?

Go to USA Boxing.com find a gym in your area that is a active member of USA Boxing the governing body for amateur fighters responsible for the Golden Gloves, PAL and the Olympic Trials and the Olympics. Once you find a gym they should make you join USA Boxing immediately you have to get two (2) passport photos of yourself and I believe $25 and possibly a copy of your birth certificate. There should be an authorized agent already at the gym, like the head trainer or a Representative of USA Boxing will stop by the gym with applications for new members.

With your passport you will be allowed to participate in any USA Boxing sanctioned bout. The one thing that you can't do after you get your license is compete in a bout that is not sanctioned because you may have your USA Boxing license suspended, and that means no Golden Gloves or any other sectioned bout.

Start attending your local PCYC they all have boxing teams start training for $2.00 a session, work on fitness and take it from there - look, watch and learn ! Enjoy the fitness and give each session your best dont waste their time and soon enough you'll be encouraged to go further good luck !
