My Chihuahuas are five weeks old and they are growing very fast. I bought them some soft kibble bites yesterday and I am not sure how to give it to them. How many times do I feed them per day?

When changing my pups from moms milk to food I at first mixed the kibble with puppy formula until it was soggy for a few days then I change to water for a few more. Slowly put less water into the bowl. Once the puppies figure out what to do, "which they will quick" Plain kibble is fine. You soon will have a laugh at they way puppies eat. Oh one more thing 2 times a day is NOT enough, a puppy that old should it four times a day but a the least 3.

Mom has been feeding them up to this point, or still is?? If she still is, put the food in, and they'll start eating it on their own.
Likely they will follow her lead if they see her enjoying the food.
5 week old puppies can eat hard kibble, they should have their teeth, and they are plenty sharp. You don't need to soak it or make it into mush, they'll be fine. The soft food is garbage, and they should be eating regular kibble.

if they are eating soft food at all, mix some in.
or, add some water to the kibble to soften it slightly.

i feed my dogs twice a day. i split their amount in half. if you feed in one sitting, it can cause bloating, and other problems. my vet recommended three times a day, but it does not work into my schedule, so i just do it two times.

I particularly have a Jack Russell Terrier who had domestic canines almost 6 weeks in the past. I noticeably a lot feed the domestic canines even though they are going to consume in simple terms to grant mom some alleviation. they actually like the moist nutrition I supply them, and so that they attempt to consume the dry nutrition even nevertheless it particularly is frequently too stressful for them. i might attempt a extra perfect canned nutrition then Pedigree. go on your close by puppy keep (i prefer to propose Petsmart) and get some canned moist nutrition. the folk there stated technological understanding eating regimen because of the fact it particularly is waaaaaay extra perfect to your canines.

You can get rehydratable puppy kibble, which you soak in warm water. They usually like this and it gets them used to starting to eat.

just put it down in their whelping box and let them explore it on their own. You may have to stick some on their noses for them to first try it, but they'll help themselves otherwise.
