Just talk to God. If you're alone, you can do it out-loud. Tell God what you are feeling, what you are needing. God already knows - but it is up to you to ask for help.

You can start also with what I call canned prayers - prayers already written. Just sit down and meditate on them. Use them to call out to God - to ask for help communicating.

Believe it or not - it will come. It is second nature.

Mainly with prayers of affirmation and thanksgivings and at other times in the Spirit. I believe that when we pray in the Spirit the Holy Spirit helps us pray for all things to work together for our good (Rom 8:26-28; Ep 6:18).

Prayer is a means by which we draw nearer to God.

God hears all the prayers of the righteous. But consider the following:

A Christian hunter is hunting bears in the woods. While walking up a hill he grabs a branch for leverage and it breaks sending the hunter tumbling down the hill, gun flying off elsewhere. When the hunter dusts himself off he sees a huge bear charging him. The hunter begins running, but trips and falls, landing on his knees. Seizing the opportunity, and being a good Christian, the hunter begins to pray, "Lord, make this bear a Christian."

The woods are quiet, the hunter turns and, Hallelujah! He sees the bear on his knees, paws together, praying! Listening, he hears the bear praying, "Father, bless this food to my body."

The key point here is that God answers prayers of the righteous, but the answer you get may not be the answer you want, BUT it will always be the right answer.

I speak to God just as I write these words to you now. I have a conversation with Him each day. My prayers are conversations that follow a pattern. I start every prayer with the following: "Most merciful God, not my will, but yours be done." I repeat that phrase often during my prayers. Sometimes I will do so for tens of times just to quiet my mind and make it open to hearing from my Creator.

Use the following pattern in all your prayers and you will see them answered: Adoration, Contrition, Thanksgiving, and Supplication. See the links below for more information. (acronym: ACTS)

You talk to God or pray the same way you would talk to your best friend. God knows what is in your heart and he should be your best friend and you can tell him anything so you should just talk to him as you would anyone else.

Genesis 2:17 makes clear that Adam and Eve would die if they disobeyed. Genesis 3 they're walking and talking with God. Genesis 4 they're killing an animal to be able to talk with God. What died?

John 3:3, "You must be born again." Okay, but what must be born? Whatever it was that died must be born again. John 4:24, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." The spirit died. When Adam and Eve disobeyed, their ability to worship God died, and they suddenly needed another to take the place of their guilt and punishment to be able to address God.

Thus, how you pray to God is to first have your spirit be "born again," or made alive. This the Holy Spirit does, and you must ask Jesus to send Him to do that. You must admit that you are the sinner you are, coming to God both as He is and as you are. He already knows all about you, loves you anyway, but doesn't listen to liars but a very little. But as you are honest with Him, He heals you and then reveals Himself to you.

And it all starts with "being born again," having your spirit reborn so that you are even able to talk to God and hear from Him.

There is no wrong way to pray- just talk to Him, He will listen. If you really feel you should be praying in a certain way, first, ask for forgiveness for things you have done that you are sorry about. Second, give thanks for the blessings in your life. Third, ask for blessings or guidance for others. Fourth, ask for blessings or guidance for yourself. Peace to you.

I personally prefer forms such as meditation and contemplation.

But just a general answer...everyone is difference, I suggest with a lot of patience and you must learn to be silent (not just externally, but internally)

I talk to God as if he were sitting right beside me and I know he is close by me. I always call him father and I always make sure I thank him for all he has done for me as I know I could not have done it alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I end it with In Christs name I pray, Amen

Directly to God!

I never pray to any of His creations (ie. prophets, idols, dead people, etc...), as they cannot help me whatsoever. Only God is worthy of worship!
