This was to
1. Show his dislike of ostentation and popular applause, and to avoid the envy of the Scribes and Pharisees,
2. prevent the people from making any attempts to proclaim Christ king.
3. His time not being yet come to die, as Christ had some other work to do;
4. And a more full manifestation of him being reserved for another time, and to be done in another way.

Because Jesus heals for the reason of love compassion and mercy. Not like the frauds you find on tv today that do it for the adoration of men.

He did that so the prophecy in Isaiah would be fulfilled: "Look! My servant whom I chose, my beloved, whom my soul approved! I will put my spirit upon him, and what justice is he will make clear to the nations. He will not wrangle, nor cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the broad ways." Isa. 421-4. Matt. 12:17-19.

When curing people, Jesus ‘strictly charged them not to make him manifest.’ He did not want noisy advertising of himself in the streets or to have excited reports passed from mouth to mouth and distorted.

who said this rubbish.
He cured a sick in publick.
He woke a dead person in front of others.
So how can he ask not to tell no one bout?

Rediculus. It is the bible where u get lots of contradictions like this.
Because bible has been altered number of time according to own whishes of individuals.

So bible can not be taken as proof.
Read Quran for yourself and find the truth.
It never contradicts in a single place. In the Quran it is mentioned it is revealed for the whole humanity. But most non Muslims think it is for Muslims only and it is a wrong thought.
Quran is less in price than Bible comparatively or you can easily get one for free.Search the web.

Read the Quran and find the truth instead of using the bible.

Muslims can not be Muslims if we don't accept Jesus(pbuh)
We beleive Jesus and accept his miracles. Mary is a pure honorable lady to be respected.

O christians please read the Holy Quran and find the truth for yourself like Cate Stephe=Yousuf Islam, Yvone Ridley, Malcom X

Perhaps it was to show us that when we do good works for others, we should not seek praises from men but rather, seek praise from God who sees all things done in secret, and will reward us in heaven.

He wanted them to believe on their own. Remember when He told Thomas "Blessed are those who have not seen and have believed." Their faith will mean so much more if they believe without seeing. That is true faith.

God bless,
Stanbo
