Cold sore is just another name for herpes; BUT cores heal/can be "cure" unlike herpes, cold sores go away....so if it's not, that person might need to look into that.

They go away but they take their time if you don't use medication. They sell it in the drug store and it costs a lot. Try getting samples from the Dr. next time you go. Also try using honey and alternating it with cortisone cream. It is herpes simplex which is the same virus that causes genital herpes so do not spread it, tell your partner you have it. It is also catchy when it's not in break out stage. So, keep that in mind.

That aint no cold sore.Just let the ones know u have kissed in the past , that u got something going on with that bump on your lip

they go away eventually, but the herpe virus is always in the system.
no, it doesn't mean you have the STD herpes.
the virus will always be in your system, but you will not always have cold sores.
they can surface at any time but mainly emerge during winter or stress.
ABREVA is my only choice for cold sores.
