Simple----2 points.
Seriously, I think it just depends on the mood of the person answering the question. Personally, if I am in a goofy mood, I will target the 'stupid' questions and give back as stupid an answer as I can. However, I also answer some serious questions with serious answers. I do try to avoid stupid answers to the serious sounding questions tho. I am also capable of a combination answer. If a question to me is somewhat redundant, but I think the asker is serious about an answer, I will give a liitle joke answer followed by "seriously.." and give a serious answer.
I view Yahoo Answers as a place where maybe I can help someone, and a place where I can learn something, and a place for cheap entertainment. You just have to know where to look.

Welcome to the Yahoo Answers club. If the questions are so stupid, why even post it ? tit for tat. Some people like comedy. Don't try to change it, it's pointless. You are 1 of many but, yet a minority. The key word here is to overlook. If you can't throw a little game into the mix to make someone smile then, you know where the abuse button is. And it is used alot here. All I can say is, research your questions first before you decide to post them. It's only logical. Have a nice day : ) ; )

It really depends on the question! What's more disturbing is when a
decent and respectful question is ask some people respond with a nasty or rude remakes is really uncalled for. I've ask some important question and 1/3 of the response was unuseful, but the most of it. I found that there's some intelligent people who write with some good advice.

Hmm.. I've never heard of smart "stars" remarks. That must be a good thing though!
But tell ya what - It's the same reason ::people:: ask stupid, pointless questions, and think that just because they ask them, others will change.

Only immature people answer questions with smart remarks. Just brush it off and feel only pity and embarrassment for them. How people talk reveals much about a person.

I guess it's like Mama used to say, "Ask a stupid question and you'll get a stupid answer" and two points!
