My mom took a little bit this evening, it's a product called "no salt" and felt buring in her chest aswell as cardiac problems. She was sweating and cold and her heart slowed down. She is feeling a little better now but has this on going burning sensation in her chest and stomach. Will this go away or should she take something for that? and what are the dangers of a salt substitute? She has Asthma and borderline Diabetes and a low white cell count.

Many medications warn about using a salt substitute. So if she is taking any medications, I suggest you call her pharmacist, (or if her pharmacy is closed this late a night try a 24hr walgreens) to see if that could be the reaction.
