Hello. I'm a 14 year old girl. I want honest opinions from people of ALL ages on the matter of dating. Do you think if a 14 year old is a responsible person that they can date and make good decisions on who to date? Do they have to tell there parents about the relationship? If you do not think that someone of that age should date what age do you think is good? Thank you for all your Answers! :)

Hello. I am a 17 year old.. i started Really Dating when i was 16.. because that is the age guys can drive and actually Take you on the dates.. if you are only 14 then you have to date being chaparoned or walk around or whatever, and it's not really offically dating. i promise.. it's a whole new level when you are older and the guy can drive. also when you are 14 it would be better to go on double or group dates... which is actually best for anyone when you just start.. so you can get comfortable at first. yes i think that a 14 year old can date.. but it's just not As Mature of dating.. (and not to mean that in a rude way or anything.. but you will see when you get older what i mean..) also, if you have to ask if you Have to tell your parents about the relationship.. then you are not mature enough to date.. if you can't talk about it and Tell them. you don't want to hide anything.. or else you are Not ready to start dating.. because that's just immature and if you want to be dating some guy and your parents don't know then you can't ever be Real boyfriend and girlfriend or anything.. because he couldn't just come over and hang out.. and he needs to meet your family to get to know you better. otherwise you'd just have to always sneek around and that's just dumb. but yeah.. good luck and be smart! don't do anything you are uncomfortable with.. if you're comfortable then it's fine.

I can understand you not wanting your parents in your buisness, because that can be so annoying no matter what age you are, but I do think 14 is a little young, and most 14 yr olds are far from responsible but want all the perks of being so. That said, a "date" as in going to the movies or to a concert that's appropriate for that age is fine as long as you are bouth 14 or 15, and if amybe a couple friends go. You don't want something to get serious at that age. Also, try to let your parents know a bit of whats going on in your life. If you act secretive they will suspect theres more going on than there really is when all you want is some space.

Well, I am 14 too. I dont think I should date yet....you either. Probably wait till 17, so you can be like asked to prom and all without feeling to young.

yes it is. At that age you don't really know who you are and you can certainly believe that you don't know what you want out of life, much less a relationship. You should just enjoy your childhood being with your friends and having fun.Boys at your age are still very immature. And you know what they say: Girls mature faster than Boys.
