HELP! On Microsoft Excel, whenever i move the mouse, it highlights all the cells....how do i turn that OFF!?

That's a simple but rarely known feature of Excel. You've accidentally pressed the key. Just press the key to turn off the feature.

What is this? Its called the "Extend Mode". It can be used to extend a selection without the mouse. Try it with arrow keys to see what I mean. Using a mouse is fine, it just isn't intuitive at first because you had no idea you turned on Extend Mode.

Also, to see the indicator, look for "EXT" in the status line, usually bottom-right of Excel window border.

Either your mouse button is stuck or your PC has memory problems. Reboot just in case.

See if you have activated the Scr Lock button.
