Where's a nice town near Toronto that's not too far out, but not right in the city. Maybe 30 minutes or less outside of the Toronto. I've only been to Toronto twice and might be relocating in a few months. I want to live in an area where I can have a yard for the kids and have a reasonable commute for the husband. Any ideas? Thanks.

Oakville Ontario: clean, fairly small, lots of money, good shopping, yet still feels small town. Easy communte up the QEW or, the GO Train may be faster if he works downtown.

There are some nice little towns if you head up hwy 404 or 48 towards Lake Simcoe. Georgina is at the lake along with Jackson's point and others (I don't know the names.) The drive is a little longer than 30 mins depending on where in Toronto you are commuting too. If it is west end I hear Bolton is nice as well. Good luck on your hunt for a new home.

I used to live in Hamilton and commute to Toronto on a daily basis - while I would not suggest Hamilton as it takes about 1.5 hours to commute - I would suggest you find a place that is on the GO Train routes. It is far better than driving and usually quite convenient
