America has a northern Canadian border that is twice as long as the Mexican border.

The Minuteman Project claims it is a "pro-borders" group, yet only focuses on one single border.

But there are hundreds of thousands of Canadian illegals here, many blending into the White population:

Isn't the Minutemen's selective border enforcement an example of discrimination?

Yes, I agree with you, it is discrimination.
If they really do care about immigration and supposedly patrolling the borders or whatever, they should do it to all borders. Either way, I think minutemen should learn from the illegals they are trying to stop and they should work as hard as them to find a job. That is all they want, instead these minutemen are just sitting there twiddling their thumbs being worthless to society. They sicken men.

Obviously all you guys care about are papers and money...and the ethnicity of people that are coming here.

There are Minutemen on the Canadian border, just not as many as on the Mexican border for the simple fact that the problem is not anywhere near as severe with illegals from Canada as from Mexico and Central America. However, you should also be aware that the US has been beefing up the Canadian border this past year as I was reading about it in the local paper a couple weeks ago. There is more of a high tech fence at the Canadian border and I read that the average response time to someone being detected crossing the border is about 4 minutes, at least in the area of British Columbia. There are also those robotic drone aircraft that regularly patrol the northern border. You are right in that the US needs to gain control of both borders and also learn how to detect and deport illegals who actually enter the country legally on visas and then overstay to become illegal.

Also, just a note; there are likely about as many illegal Americans in Canada as there are illegal Canadians in the USA. I don't think you can say the same about the illegal ratios between Mexico and the USA.

Wow...As a Canadian we only hear the odd news bit about illegal Mexicans and the problem they cause. Up hear its painted by our ultra-liberal media as the Americans being 'racist' and unsympathetic for not allowing every immigrant into the U.S.
I couldn't agree more that something needs to be done....and soon. The more that enter your country, the easier it is for them to become established and force the hand of your politicians. Just look at France last year with the muslim riots because they felt 'disinfranchized' that they were treated differently and it was harder to find work.
Wake up...why should it be easier for an immigrant, illegal or not, to find work than an American citizen?
Most of the problem comes from antiquated immigration laws and practices. Sure, its a fact that the U.S.A was established by immigrants.....about 400 years ago. Since then, a strong and proud culture has arisen. That is what should be protected and not watered down by liberal lobbyists and the like.

What happens down there echoes up here. We also have a huge immigration problem. Except, it has been sponsored by our own government. The Liberal gov't has increased immigration almost every year they have been in office. This is to secure their seat in Parlaiment. They greet them as they come off the boat and whisper "don't forget who let you in...vote Liberal." Think I'm full of ****? Just drive to Toronto, Vancouver or Montreal. Much of those cities look like they could be in a different part of the world. No english/ french signs, only Chinese, Arabic or some other language.
BUT.....to criticize is to be labelled a racist. I don't care. My family goes back 300 years in Canada, we have contributed to its growth since then. Fought in WW1, WW2. That gives me, and every other true Canadian, American the right to voice their opinion about who enters their borders without being labelled by the bleeding hearts out there.

It's not one or the other problem. I was going to say more patrol and less Minutemen , The problem is who watch our government. In a Democracy, the people are suppose to watch the government. That is what the minutemen is doing.

There is no reason to patrol the Canadian border in large numbers because there are far less illegal Canadians than there are illegal Mexicans. Think of it this way: In a war, do you put more men in a place that sees little action or do you put more men on the front lines? There are border patrols up there, just not as many because its illogical to put more men in a low combat area than in a high combat area(Mexico border).

I will answer as someone who is both an American with family history in Canada, as someone who has signed up with the Minutemen (note I am not speaking for the group but just for myself), and as someone who works in a neighborhood that has been invaded and taken over by illegals.

Yes, I suppose there are many thousands, perhaps hundreds of thousands, of illegal Canadians, but there are possibly 20 million or more illegals from south of the border. Go to the border with Canada and, outside of the checkpoints and roads and perhaps border towns between the two countries, what will you see? Nothing but nature and wildlife. You will not see, unless perhaps you are the nation's lucky one to spot some people speaking Arabic, people crossing the border on foot. That's what the Minutement do--report those walking across the border.

Moreover, in a sense it is discriminatory. That is because Canadians, illegal or not, do not do as much damage to the social cohesion of this country as do illegal Mexicans. They do not wave Canadian flags in your face, insist on you speaking French, leave their dogs to roam the streets as they do here now (and as I have commonly seen), chase out American citizens from their neighborhoods through increased gang activity, drugs, loud music, and an insistence on every sign being translated into French.

Illegal Mexicans are doing all this and more. The day that I hear of an illegal Canadian committing rape or murder against an American citizen is the day that I will argue we need to concentrate on the Canadians as much as the Mexicans.

The reason the MinuteMen patrol 1 border is because there are over 750,000 illegals crossing over the mexicaan/US bordor every year These people think they deserve to have rights when they cant even follow the laws and commit federal crimes like murder. They have no right and yet they get more services from our government and and all of this without any identifaction. they are also a major factor in identity theft because we dont track and/or finger print. we need a way to track them if its putting a chip at the base of their necks and keeping the pregnant illegals out so their child(ren) dont become citizens so be it. DAMN IT I WAS BORN HERE AND I GET TREATED LIKE CRAP!! GO HOME AND DO IT THE RIGHT WAY WITH PAPERS

They aren't the ones flooding across our borders, they aren't the ones flooding our hospitals and emergency rooms and skipping out on the bill. They aren't the ones pushing out babies every five minutes, and skipping out on the bill. No body sees hundreds of Canadians running across the border everyday and you no it. Canadians are not the ones standing on street corners looking for work, and I don't believe their are hundreds of thousand Canadians coming here every year they have a great economy and free health care, so that is a lie unless you can prove it, you need sources where are they, their are also 40 thousand Chinese that are ready to be deported but their country will not take them back. I am sick of millions of Mexicans and people form South America flooding our country illegally and riping us off. The minute men are doing a great job and should be rewarded for their efforts, don't like it tuff sh*t . You have got to be a Mexican or an illegal that is the only reason you must be against the minute men. If their were Mexican Men protecting the Mexican border to keep millions of white Americans from coming over to Mexico they would be hero's to you right, you would say they have that right because it is their country. Well the same go's for us.

They are on both borders. However, they don't patrol the northern border in large numbers because we don't have illegals crossing there in large numbers. Resources should be directed to where they are most needed.

Several things:

1) Even the pro-illegal alien media and political action groups make it clear that it's people coming in primarily from Mexico. These illegal aliens from Mexico and even latin America even have their own websites!

2) When the illegal aliens marched across America demanding rights, they were caring Mexican flags, El Salvador flags and other latin America flags. How many flags from Sweden or Canada did you see? It was millions of people from Mexico and latin America marching across the country.

3) Remember a day without a Mexican immigrant? It wasn't a day without a Canadian illegal, now was it?

4) Besides, for the illegal Canadians here, how many do you know are forming street gangs and terrorizing neighborhoods that used to be safe? NONE!

We have always had an "open border policy" with Canada, and that would "NEVER" work with Mexico, but yes, we get many illegals through Canada, but keep in mind the way INS has their illegals registered,
1- Mexican
2- OTM (Other than Mexican),
so what does that tell you???????
