Because you're not being a "sheep" and following the crowd and succumbing to peer pressure that's why. Good for you! Keep up the good work and be your own person with some dignity. They are threatened by the person who dares to be different and follow his own path.

Because you won't go along with "popular culture". Sounds like they are being really rude and you understand that. You're not a punk, you're going to be one of the guys the girls will want to date because you are kind and weren't mean to them.

Guys like that aren't happy being losers by their selfs - THUS - they seek to recruit people by intemidation.., calling the punks, chicken, loser, etc.
An idiot only looks intelligent to other idiots. Its just a sad fact of life. I would not let their scale of reality measure what or who you are.
Be proud. Hold your head up, and walk away with your new profound knowledge that you are actually superior to them - HENCE - leave them to live in their own delusion of grandeur.

Simply because you are above all that tough guy/bad boy/jerk stuff. Don't worry, one day they'll see you for being the respectful, independent person you are and they'll regret going for those types. It's all peer pressure, don't stress.
