It could mean that you tore your rectum straining to go.... that would heal pretty quickly. Perhaps you have hemorrhoids. Another source of blood can be from internal bleeding but the color from internal bleeding is normally very dark, not red.

Are you taking an ibuprofin-containing product? (Advil, Aleive, Ibuprofin???) Look on the label of any pain relievers you are taking. Ibuprofin will cause your intestines to bleed if you are taking too much. Another thing is bread with seeds. Yeeowch - the body can't break down hard seeds and nuts sometimes.
