(i will be obtaining a license and training).I'm going to be looking for a sportbike no greater than 600ccs. Asides that what should i look for in a bike?what are good features to obtain in a bike body and performance wise?keep in mind im a family man with no intention of a superfast bike, just something fun for spring and summer yet with an attractive body.

For sports bikes, the two big hitters in the 600 league are the R1 and the CBR. The problem with these bikes is their size. You will need to test ride to see if this thing is comfy.

However, I would stear clear of sports bikes for about a year. Why not try a Hornet, or a bandit 6. These will give you experience without getting out of your deapth. I would also consider a cheepter, second hand machine for that first year (That way it is not so much an issue when you drop it).
