Why is everyone in love with corona i think its the worse mexican beer out there. Everytime i go out everyone is always ordering them and they are way over priced. Id prefer dos XX, Tecate or Sol

I agree with the overpricing part of this, cause it definitely is. I also prefer dos XX or ever try modello? they have a light and dark version of this beer. It is mexican beer, too, but at a much more reasonalbe price (cause you gotta remember you are paying for mexican beer) Also, it's weird that i read someone else's comment about youngsters only buying corona, cause right when i turned 21 that was all i drank. Maybe i was dreaming about being on the beach in a hammock!!

Ah, Corona...it might be the overhyped marketing, or the Jimmy Buffet vibe, but I do get your point. As a southern California boy, born and bred, though, I have spent my fair share of lost weekends (and weeks) over the border and deep into Mexico on surf trips. I do admit - when the sun is high in the summer sky, and I am swinging in the hammock, it almost seems criminal to NOT have an ice cold Corona in my hand, with a sliver of lime shoved down the bottleneck.
If I had to choose, though, Bohemia is my absolute favorite Mexican sud.

Its just part of pop culture...I bar tend off and on and the only people that buy corona are young kids that just turned 21...if i'm going to get mexican beer its going to be dos XX

Tecate is what a refreshing light American lager should taste like. Go Mexico! I was all about this beer in the summer when it was hot and I needed a drink and also feel refreshed.

Tequiza is a really good mexican beer too. I think Corona is a fad.

Corona, Bud,and Cuervo...it's all in the marketing. They all taste nasty, but are the biggest sellers because of the advertising. Have you ever smelled a warm Corona?

Have you ever noticed that it is the one that is the most advertised. The advertisements use heavy sex suggestions. Personally, I think if people tried the others they would rarely go back. The only way I can drink it is with a twist of lemon or lime. Otherwise I agree with you, it is awful and smells like piss.

In discussing this very topic, a friend of mine insightfully stated, "Corona is a third rate beer wit a first rate advertising campaign." I agree with him wholeheartedly.

I think its because Corona does the most advertising. I prefer a miller lite or a good microbrew myself.
