Im doing everything else ok with eating lots fruits veg and dieting, But there are 2 things i love so much and was hoping to not have to eliminate that from my life entirely, they are diet coke and dark chocolate, can i still be having these and successfully loose weight still? will it make dieting pointless?

Every individual is different when it comes to dieting. But, usually if you are following a nutritious low cal diet you will loose weight.

An occasional treat like diet coke (No calories) and dark chocolate (which has lots of reasons for eating besides tasting good) in limited quantities may help you keep on track.

Cravings can destroy a dieter's willpower and in turn destroy the diet. Totally resisting the urge for something can sometimes lead to overindulgence.

Best advice is be moderate about your indulgences and make sure you count them in you diet plan.

ok, so the dark chocolate is actually good for your heart in moderation. But the soda can totally ruin a diet. There's something about the carbonation and all the sugar or fake sugar if it's coke zero. Try drinking a lot more water and rewarding yourself a couple times a week with a soda instead of an everyday drink.. Sodas also dont quench your thirst

Weight is complicated, just eating dark chocolate or Coke won't by itself affect your weight. Incidentally Coke w/ real sugar as opposed to sugar-free Diet Coke (and I believe Coke Zero) actually turns out to be better, studies found that people who drank diet soft drinks gained MORE weight for some reason than people who didn't.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Dark Chocolate (in moderation) can actually help you because of the anti-oxidants in it! So yes, as long as you don't eat like 20 pounds of it. And Coke Zero isn't bad either. It's not good for your teeth, but as long as you are drinking plenty of water, a coke zero every now and then won't hurt.

Small amounts of dark chocolate at a time have been proven to be somewhat beneficial, so go for it(in moderation)!

Pop is like poison for your system. The more you can cut it out, the better off you'll be. I'm not gonna sugar coat it.
