Yes. But I plan to get one not for the popularity but for me. Something that is important to me.... Thats what they are supposed to be but most ppl get them for the look not the meaning.

It depends. As with any visual form, there are cliched versions and unique versions. Just because there are lots of movies doesn't mean all movies are mainstream. Tattoos just above the a*ss-crack in random designs, stars on wrists, those are too mainstream...

yes tattoos have become very mainstream, but I get them for me not for anyone else so if you want a tattoo for that reason then go for it but if your out to get a tat to go with the latest fad ....well that's stupid tats are forever unless you enjoy painful laser surgery that is rather expensive , or there is always cover ups .....just a thought.....

people with tattoos are not allowed to expose them in most places where they work. i have tattoos from my fingers to the back of my ears and down my back. i have trouble in most places i work or try to get a job. no it's not too mainstream until places of business accept it and overlook it.

honestly, lots of people have tattoos but it is less common to find someone with a GOOD tattoo. so i'll be getting tattoos as long as i have a talented artist to give me the quality tattoos that i have come to expect.

Not having a tattoo these days is out of the ordinary. So thats my excuse for not wanting to get one. Besides, alot of them are really ugly.

tattoos are a turnoff on most girls and piercings are worse.
