I have been doing some reading on head lice. When items have been placed in garbage bags and then sealed air tight then frozen, can lice come back to life after they been frozen and /or do they hibernate and come back to life? I just would like to know this. I have looked at so many links and sites and have not come across that of what I asked. Thanks fo much for your answers and input.

It is my belief that lice can live through anything, but if you have sealed and frozen items for longer then 48 hours then they should have died from starvation.

I would think not. The brain would die if there is no oxygen. I mean, if we were frozen then we would be "frozen to death". So, since they are a living breathing organism than, no, they could not come back to life after being frozen.

If they are dead they cant. Who freezes head lice anyway? There are certain frogs which can be frozen and survive. They are not frozen to death though. They don't actually die. They are just in suspended animation.
