to be used as lyrical content.

also as a man talking to a woman.

(ps. so many people have answered it. Which one is correct? Or more proper, or fits best in context?)

If you translate it world by word, the equivalent in Spanish would be "Que duermas con los ángeles, querida mía". However, if I translate it taking into account how we normally use that English phrase in Argentina (because we do have an equivalent one), I'd translate it "Que sueñes con los angelitos/ángeles, querida". I should add that "querida" is a bit old-fashioned and it's not used among young people, so maybe it would be better to say "mi amor" (my love) or something similar. You would need to use the command form of dormir in this case. I put it in usted form. If you wanted to use tu you would say "Duerme" instead. And you just need to change the carino to fit the gender you're using. Carino has a tilde on the n

In Spanish we normally say sueña (dream of) instead of sleep (dormir)

So, it would be

Sueña con los ángeles, mi amor.
