What colors mixed together make brown?

I work in the paint department at home depot.. Depends on what kind of substance your using.. Are you using paint? If yes, then it depends on the shade of brown you want, light? dark? If you can mix green, black, and yellow oxide and get brown. You can even mix in red if you want it to take on a reddish hue. If you want a dark color you need to have the right kind of "base" then. if you mix all the colors together you are supposed to get black, but in reality if you are working with paint you will probably get brown.

Green and red should produce some shade of brown.

tad of black to orange.
