His gf just broke up with him. He loved her a lot. I am pretty sure he is feeling heartbroken still. So he is deffinitely on the rebound. I don't want to be a rebound girl but I don't want some other chick to snatch him up. I don't want to bring anything up..risking the friendship and having things be awkward since he is such an emotional, sensitive, weird guy anyways...what do you think i should do?

Don't "pursue" him. It will turn into a purely emotional, physical relationship. What you should do, is be there when he calls, and check up on him, but not a lot, because he'll latch onto you immediately and regret it later. If you want a relationship with him. Only be "half way there"... At a time like this, you actually need to half way disappear, but not totally... If he tries to pursue you 4 weeks from now after doing this, start to gradually give it a chance.
You gotta be careful though in this situation...

give him time, if he really did love the girl b4, no other random girl will grab him. Just b there for him, go out and have fun and get his mind off of it, once he starts to realize how you are there for him and how much you care, he will eventually return the feelings

The only thing you should do is be his closest friend, give him a shoulder to lean on... Let him realize that you are the one that is going to stick around with him.

well i say be there for him. but don't get too close. just close enough and when he's ready he'll most likely have you in mind, but thats my opinion, cause I had a close female friend and I knew she liked me but I had just broken up with my gf and I fell head over heels for her and if I had the chance I would hook up with her but I moved.
