the sr20 is more readily available and would be easier to install. they can produce 300+hp pretty easily and aftermarket support is good. The rb25/26 would give you that wow factor with everyone. they can make upwards of 500+hp on stock internals but would be more difficult to install.

The RB25DET is the better choice. It does cost a bit more though. One of the tuning magazines did an article about the swap and said if you can really afford it go for the RB26DETT. However that engine is best suited for the Skyline.

it depends on the money. but if you are wanting lots of power out of it you are going to be putting more stress on the sr20 to get the same with less stress on the RB25 what ever is easyest to in stall is what I would say they both have proven them selfs worthy and by the sound of it the motor wont be lasting super long any way.

The engine must have the same specifications, including all smog equipment, that the OEM engine had........those laws rule out the usual engine "swaps" that people want to do, and when they try a trick like that, the vehicle will not pass the Emissions Inspections..........an expensive lesson to learn

i'll go for SR20DET..!! absolutely..

its easier to fit in the 240 chasis.. and maybe juice it with JUN/TOMEI 2.2liter stoker kit and T51R turbine from HKS..
